Ex.t Design | Milan Design Week 2018

25 May 2018

Ex.t Design showcased their latest designs at Salone del Mobile with a new collection designed by Sebastian Herkner and a new product designed by MUT, along with an addition to Frame collection by Norm Architects. The stand presented beautiful bathroom inspiration with elegant colour and material combinations with the exquisite bathware designs.

This year, Ex.t Design also presented an incredible installation in their showroom called ‘Under Super Cover’. The installation was brought to life with the creative vision of Studio Modulo.

Arco by MUT Studio

After launching Nudo at Maison & Object earlier this year, Spanish design studio MUT designs for Ex.t Arco: a product characterised by functional versatility and material blend. Made for the bathroom, Arco is a versatile design for many spaces by just adding or removing different elements.

In Milan, Arco is presented in two editions, available in matte black and brass, with an integrated mirror and shelving system hiding on the back, which increases the functionality of the object.

Ribbon by Sebastian Herkner

Following the creation of the Plateau collection, German designer Sebastian Herkner unveiled Ribbon, a new collection featuring a console and a bathtub.

The bathtub is entirely made in LivingTec® and available with or without a band in satin steel or brass put at the base of the structure, giving luminosity and preciousness to the product. The console recalls the bathtub’s materials featuring a washbasin in LivingTec® and a structure available in satin steel or in brass, which can be fitted with a lower tray crafted in LivingTec® or marble for a contemporary product with a strong personality.

Frame Cabinet by Norm. Architects

Ex.t also presented a mirror cabinet and a wall unit, enhancing the famous Frame collection by Norm. Architects, winner of the EDIDA Award in 2017. Recalling the functionality and versatility featured in the entire collection, both elements can be used as stand-alone pieces or combined with other designs of the series.

‘Super Under Cover’

For Milan Design Week this year, Ex.t also opened the doors to their showroom for an exclusive installation experience: Under Super Cover.

The pop up installation by Studio Modulo envisioned a delicate and embracing cloud invading the space with soft tones, lights and metallic sounds and guides the visitor through ancestral feelings, in a journey made of natural elements and sensory suggestions.
